My education includes Drury University, Walden University and Webster University with education in psychology, criminal justice, forensic psychology and clinical mental health counseling.
Having worked in and around the criminal justice arena and military for over 20 years, I understand the challenges with being exposed to frequently traumatic incidents as part of the demands of a profession. These incidents can have a significant, perhaps crippling, impact on psychological and physical wellness as well as the relationships with their friends and family.
These experiences often present us with the challenges of marriage and relationship struggles, parenting issues, questions of faith and spirituality, or financial uncertainty. The holistic, wellness-oriented approach uses a variety of evidence-based modalities to help you reduce suffering and build mental strength.
I am experienced in the challenges of parenting and all that comes at each stage. I have been parenting since 1995 and have 11 children including biological, adopted and step-kids, including those with special needs.
While I hold deeply to my Christian beliefs, I also respect and welcome individuals from all faith backgrounds—or those who may not follow a particular faith—by offering evidence-based, scientifically supported counseling methods. I strive to create a compassionate and non-judgmental space where every person, regardless of their religious beliefs, can receive support tailored to their unique needs, fostering growth, healing, and overall well-being.
